CHINA Volunteering Tour MABIAN 2010

Sunshine Action program in Mabian reached 692 children, elderly & handicapped patients in cooperation & school/cases suggested by 麦田计划 Maitian Program (Wheatfield Project).

愛護地球

PLANT the PLANET 植樹愛地球‏ - Sichuan 四川

With the help of few hundred students, we planted over 2'000 trees in Mabian areas.

義工感想- 我们的另一个活动——种树！害怕树苗不能单独成活，原定的2000棵树苗翻倍了，每个小朋友都分到了2到3棵，当大家扛着工具去山上栽种的时候，我想到了开垦北大荒……由于树苗较多，种树地方相对狭小，有的小朋友直接种在他们老师的玉米地（偷偷把老师地里面的玉米给砍了）可爱淘气的小孩子，虽然我好好教育，但是几百个小朋友，我实在控制不住啊！

扶助貧困

We also prepared some food, including rice, noodles, sugar, salts and some stationeries for the students. SUNSHINE ACTION deeply thanks to the student-volunteers helping us to transport these foods & materials regardless of their ages.

義工感想 - 今天的任务还是很艰巨的，我们的物资基本到齐，上百袋的大米，一箱箱的面条，糖，盐，六百多个小朋友，以及不少的贫困户，我们分物资的任务异常艰巨，幸好我们有可爱的志愿者们，大家齐心协力，我们的物资很快分装完毕。然后，集合人数，开始分发，场面那叫一个壮观啊！当老师组织大家感谢，感谢声从六百多个小朋友的口中喊出来的时候，我忍住了眼眶中的泪水（毕竟男儿也有泪！）

義工感想 -完成了沙腔中心校的任务，我们前往了沙腔核桃坪小学，这所学校是公办的，但是跟麦小一样也只有一、二、三年级，然而，不同于麦小，这所学校没有任何社会资助及志愿者到过，所以小朋友们都很封闭，而且几乎都很贫困，在那我看到了七八十年代我们才穿的衣服，在大城市就是乞丐都不屑去穿的鞋子，突然间我感到了自己能力的卑微，但是我马上就坚信，只要我们一直努力，我们可以做的还有很多很多……

滋潤心靈

Sunshine Action volunteers travelled from Chengdu to Mabian and then reaching the village in about 9 hours total drive.... then we walk up to the hills to visit some of the cases.
