SUNSHINE ACTION 耀陽行動

Since 2009, Sunshine Action has been supporting many projects in Vietnam

One of the orphanages we supported, the “Gia dinh Tinh Thuong Te-Phan” orphanage is a very small center taking care mostly mentally & handicapped orphans (69) in the city of Ho Chi Minh. Established in 1985 by Brother Hoàng Văn Bình, “Te-Phan Loving Family Orphanage” has more than 31 years of experience in caring for the disadvantaged people.One of the young performer, a completely blind pianist NHI will play piano on the following evening together with local artists… to raise fund in helping the treatments & studies of the orphans…

SUNSHINE MUSICAL CHARITY EVENING 17th June 2017 (Sat)

Nhi’s story: We got Nhi when someone called and told us about the Nhi’s story. Nhi was left at hospital. She was born prematurely and so weak. There was no one to look after her. Therefore, the hospital called us to look after her. We came to hospital but it was late already, her eyes have no sight and none reaction.

She was born 8 Dec, 2004. She is in grade 7. She started to play piano around grade 4 when we were given an old piano. She although is an epilepsy and take medicine everyday but she is talented at musical. Since she got your support to study musical, she started to teach others kids in the orphanage like Xuan, An and Nghia to play piano too. In her school, they recognized her talented then chose her for musical’s team of her school.

SUNSHINE MICROFINANCE Program

Microfinance is usually to entail the provision of financial services to micro-entrepreneurs and small businesses, which lack access to normal commercial banking and related services due to the high transaction costs associated with serving these client categories.

The two main mechanisms for the delivery of financial services to such clients are (1) group-based models, where several entrepreneurs come together to apply for loans and other services as a group; (2) relationship-based banking for individual entrepreneurs and small businesses

Sunshine Action started MICROFINANCE program in Vietnam in 2014. it started by meeting 2 groups of mainly farmers and labor workers. Each group consisting of 6 people and after assessment and interview, Sunshine Action granted few cows (Thanks to GEMAY) and micro-loans to the group in pursing several projects.

FOOD & MATERIALS for 350 poor families

Following our 6 years tradition in distributing rice, packed food, noodles, cooking sauces for over 350 poor families, estimated to benefit some 1,500 people directly.
